For those familiar with Beijing, the "Eight Great Sites" (八大處) are likely no strangers - eight ancient Buddhist temples that have borne witness to the history of the imperial capital and embodied the faith of old Beijing under the Son of Heaven. However, are visitors equally acquainted with Hong Kong's "Four Amazing Sites " (香港「四大處」)? In the sweltering summer heat, we have carefully selected four places in Hong Kong where you can stroll leisurely without having to brave the scorching sun or work up a heavy sweat, and leisurely explore the 200-year-old spirit of this vibrant city, and tell you the best things to do in summer.

Dr. Sun Yat-sen Museum in Central
The Dr. Sun Yat-sen Museum in Central Mid-Levels is the perfect summer indoor activity venue for visitors to learn about Hong Kong's unique role in modern Chinese history.Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the revered founding father of the Republic of China, overthrew the Qing dynasty and established the republic. His life was deeply intertwined with Hong Kong, where his revolutionary ideas and activities took root.The museum is housed in the historic Kom Tong Hall, a private mansion built in 1914 for the wealthy Hong Kong merchant Ho Kom-tong. The building's architecture blends Chinese and Western styles, and it is one of the earliest reinforced concrete private residences in Hong Kong, as well as one of the few remaining early 20th century buildings. The Kom Tong Hall was declared a Hong Kong heritage landmark in 2010.
